Golf Marathon

. . . what happens at the Golf Marathon stays at the Golf Marathon . . . Thank you to all those involved in the 15th Annual 100 Hole Golf Marathon - it was another success. A big congratulations to those 35 participants who braved the rain for 12 hours to help raise over $320,000 in one day! Check out photos from this year's event!

WHO - The Yellow Bus Foundation proudly presents the 16th Annual 100 Hole Golf Marathon, Friday September 21st, 2012.

WHAT - This fun, grassroots event is organized by volunteers and to date has raised over $3.5M for children's charities.  Approximately 30 golfers participate in this event, and raise on average over $300,000 each year. Your challenge is to play 100 holes of golf at Glen Eagle Golf Course.  A continental breakfast, lunch, snacks and beverages are provided throughout the day, along with a healthy supply of golf balls.  At the end of your golfing experience we invite you to join us for dinner, awards, entertainment and cards. This event takes approximately 12 hours to complete.

WHEN - On Friday September 21st , 2012. The day begins with breakfast at 6:00 a.m., followed by a Shot Gun start at 7:00 a.m. You play through, until all 100 holes have been completed.  Some players will finish before hors d’oeuvres are served while hard cores types will be dragged off the course at 7:00pm.

WHERE - Glen Eagle Golf Course - located at 15731 Hwy 50, approximately two miles north of Bolton.

HOW – To ensure a position in the marathon each golfer must raise a minimum of $2,500 in pledges;  per hole or 25 sponsors at $100.  Set a personal challenge and meet it! Registration for 2012 is not open yet. Please contact Kim Carrigan to reserve your space.

WHY - Why not! It's for the kids oh, and it's a lot of fun. Legendary.  In the words of one participant, "it's by far the best day of golf for the whole year."
