The 5th Annual Bay Street Stampede was held Thursday June 12th, 2008 at The Steam Whistle Brewery in Toronto, raising money for needy Canadian children’s charities. This year we raised over $125,000 and we thank all involved for making this happen! YBF and the 5th Annual Bay Street Stampede was featured in The National Post, Saturday, September 20th, 2008. The event attracted over 650 people from the financial district. From bankers to research analysts, corporate finance and sales, a good cross section of decision makers and influencers from some of Canada's top firms were at this fun and casual event. The annual Stampede is an “all western” event where guests enjoy toe tapping music, a finger-licking BBQ and of course the evening's marquee event, the “Sponsor’s Chuck wagon Race.”
The feature event of the evening saw two representative of each sponsoring company racing a wagon through a course of hay bales against the other Sponsor wagons, all vying for Bay Street’s most coveted trophy. This year we are pleased to say that Paradigm Capital Inc. won the trophy and is our 2008 Bay Street Stampede Champions! Way to go guys! Congratulations.
Thank you again to everyone involved and especially to our 2008 Stampede Committee Members, Andrea Dicks, Hillary Dinning, Kevin Heffernan and Nicole Swartout. We look forward to seeing you again Thursday, June 11th, 2009 for the 6th Annual Bay Street Stampede Party! Thank you,
David MacNicol President, The Yellow Bus Foundation | Wade Felesky Chair, The Bay Street Stampede |
