The Yellow Bus Foundation® (YBF) enriches the lives of children in Canada living with chronic illness and/or serious medical conditions as well as provides enriching opportunities for disadvantaged youth.

March 2009 -

The Yellow Bus Foundation (YBF) Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of its new President, Mr. John Bellamy. John has been on the Board since 2007 and has played in the the Annual 100 Hole Golf Marathon for the past nine years. He is also a founding member of The Bay Street Stampede.  We look forward to John's leadership in taking The Yellow Bus Foundation to the next level.

Thank you to Mr. David MacNicol, YBF's founding President and leader for the past three years. David has been instrumental in getting YBF to where it is today. David, who is also a founding member of The Annual Golf Marathon has been part of helping to raise over $2.3M for children's charities. He looks forward to his 13th year of playing in the Marathon (September 25th). 

Mr. Mark Kinney has been on the Board of The Yellow Bus Foundation since its inception. Mark, in his role as Treasurer has been a key part of the Foundation's success. He has also been playing in the Marathon since day one and does an incredible job running the event with Mr. Scott MacNicol. 

YBF is pleased to announce Mr. Sean McCowan as its new Treasurer. Sean is a numbers whiz and also an avid Golf Marathoner and has been on the Board since inception. 

YBF is also pleased to announce its five Canadian children's charities for 2009:

We believe these organizations play a critical role in our community and we're excited and proud to be able to contribute to helping with the good works they do.

RBC Family & Friends Day @ Canada's Wonderland, Saturday May 2nd - Thank you RBC Foundation for choosing to suport YBF and its select children's charities again this year. For every ticket sold, $2 goes to children with life-threatening or serious illness as well as disadvantaged youth. BAY STREET STAMPEDE - We're hard at work planning the 6th Annual Bay Street Stampede, Thursday, June 18th at The Steam Whistle Brewery. Chairman, Wade Felesky and his dedicated committee members look forward to making this the best year yet!

GOLF MARATHON - Since its inception in 1997, the Golf Marathon has raised more than $2,325,000. It’s a great day and something you should consider doing yourself this year. The 13th Annual Golf Marathon is Friday, September 25th, 2009.  Space is limited so reserve today! 
 
Thank you to all YBF supporters. We’re so pleased that each year you can be part of our events and proud, that together we make such a difference to so many children living in our community who need our help, especially during these tough times - they need us more than ever. 
 
Last year we distributed over $75,000 to each of the five children's charities on board the Yellow Bus. With your help, we look forward to doing it again this year.
